An interesting Article from the Economist .com; Islam in Europe-Hostility at home November 25, 2006

Here is an excerpt from the article:” The Netherlands certainly has reason for deep soul-searching over its Muslim population, given the murder of Mr Fortuyn and of an anti-Islam filmmaker in the past few years. But dress seems an unappealing place to start. Elsewhere in Europe it has too easily become a symbol for politicians to manipulate. France has banned the wearing of all religious symbols in schools, a law clearly aimed at the Muslim headscarf. The ban, perhaps predictably, made the headscarf a sign of pride for many Muslim girls. Germany, recently, has moved in the same direction. Four states have banned teachers from wearing headscarves. But Muslims know that Germany would never ban Jewish headwear, and they feel singled out. Britain’s former foreign secretary and a Labour Party heavyweight, Jack Straw, recently said he believed that wearing the veil could harm community relations. Tony Blair expressed support for a school that fired a teacher for wearing the face-covering veil. Various towns in Belgium have also banned the niqab.”

That may inspire some of you, those who’d love 007 or better…Cars. The car looks awesome with all these toys in. Just imagine you’re riding in and someone is…emh.. “trying” to bothering u. Someone like those we face at each light stop or roundabout doing like am the roaaaad master here.. that’s my 66!!…you know what I mean. I’d choose that thing on middle of the wheel and I’ll rip his tires. Sounds coooll !!! Definitely, he’d never though bothering u knowing what u have. I badly need one of these…just for intimidation. U’ll never believe the way people drive here. It’s scaring!

It may be the new business that would flourish sooner on town, so be ready to enroll if you did not already: Some competition to El Chourou9.
I had it twice: looks like they are chasing bachelors. Anyway, I apologize for the image quality: it’s just a mob snapshot. Contact details are still readable. If you think to enroll, don’t forget to ask first for warranty and customer support. I believe it would be necessary…

One of my folks here-a prudent guy, someone who’d ask thousands of questions before making his mind traveling to a country he doesn’t know (Who can blame him for that?) –came to me to ask the following:
Him: “Hey listen; me and my wife were thinking to get a holiday out of here and thought that your country would be a lovely place to visit”
Me: “absolutely, good idea, when u r going? I’ll sort everything for u”
Him: “TVM. We loved to honestly, but we are a little bit confused now”
Me: “come on, what’s confusing u?”
Him: “It may sound silly for u but we are confused about what we may dress or not out there?”
Me: “Ouuh, I see what u mean”
Him: “My wife seen on TV that they made restraints about the way people may dress out. No way would she take out her burka and ain’t go without my robe”
What a mate ! October 14, 2006

GM. It is 3 a.m and am already out of bad. 4 hours before going to work and precisely 3 hours before my usually wake up time. Can’t go back to sleep anymore: I tried hard but looks am fully awake now. I’m not really happy with it: Am expecting a hard working day tomorrow and had a lot to sort out. Who to blame? (I should always find someone :)) My corridor’s mate, even I don’t like entitling him a mate anymore. He and his family-terrible kids-came to the Hotel- I believe after a delightful night, lucky him- and like did in purpose get me out of bad. They were offensively noisy. I took the phone and called the reception. We went through the usual crap: “sorry, sir….bla bla” , the crap we all know. They did not damn stop. I had enough! I stood up, get clothed and opened the room door: “Trying to sleep here, could you please make less noise” It’s not really what I wanted to say. I did my best to not sound naughty. He did not show up: May be felt ashamed…He sent his little daughter out of door to say sorry. What I can say more. Can’t face a kid! I closed the door but still not happy. Today shall be fine otherwise he must not show up at all. I may have few good words to say.
A new icon for UN October 10, 2006

As a first photo to blog, here is the new general secretary of UN .I can’t think of a better thing to post. He’s the guy you will see now the most, hear a lot and see doing fuck all (no offence). I love being optimist but the way things are I don’t expect change: May be his English would be harder to understand. Who cares!? No one listen to him. He came on the right time to witness his neighborhood North Korea’s nuke experience; may be this is the reason he seems a little bit worried. I believe he is just thinking about how to take advantage of the situation; an eventual boycott for North Korea, then some concessions that eventually his son or daughter can turn out for a personnel profit. I will try to find out their photos for future reference. BTW, I know that few of you are fan of photoshop, so feel free to make usage of the photo; just be creative and share your talent!,, sorry I nearly forget: his name is Ban Ki-moon.
